Future of Transport and Young Economists Networking Event
Join the Young Economists (YE) for its first event for 2019 with a presentation on the Future of Transport and to meet other Young Economists. over drinks and savouries. Economists in the 2017 and 2018 "grad intakes" in the private and public sectors are especially encouraged to attend to meet peers in other organisations. Other early career economists are also very welcome.
YE is back with brand new faces and keen to deliver you more economic banter, LinkedIn connections and a better network with your peers.
The Young Economists in Queensland is aimed at promoting a community of young economists ranging from recent graduates to early career starters working within industry, academia and the public sector. From hosting networking events to encouraging economic discussions and debates, the society actively encourages young career economists to build a network to support both personal and professional development.
To mark our first event for 2019, please join us for a free event filled with snacks, drinks and economic chats with transport expert Steve Kanowski from Deloitte Access Economics. Steve is a partner and transport sector lead, who will be discussing the future of transport and mobility including the impacts of autonomous vehicles.
Date and Time: Wednesday March 27. Doors open at 5:30pm with refreshments served on arrival. Presentation from 6pm, followed by drinks and canapés until 8pm

About the presenter: Steve Kanowski
Steve is the national transport and infrastructure partner at Deloitte Access Economics. His professional background includes over 30 years working in transport and infrastructure advisory positions for both Commonwealth and State Government organisations, as well as in commercial consultancy. He has extensive experience advising Australian government departments, government-owned corporations and private companies (financial institutions, operating firms and investors) on a range of economic and commercial issues in the transport sector.
