Join us for the Economic Society’s final event for the year and some drinks and savouries.
Dr Andreas Chai (Griffith University) will provide some comments on 2019 Nobel Prize recipients Banerjee, Duflo and Kremer who were recognised for their experimental approach to alleviating global poverty. In just two decades, their new experiment-based approach has transformed development economics, which is now a flourishing field of research.
ESA Qld Branch President Julian Pearce will also provide an update on the activities for the Society of the year and preview the year ahead.
