ESA QLD April Coffee & Economics Catch-Up – Brisbane CBD
Date
From: Wednesday April 22, 2026, 10:30 am
To: Wednesday April 22, 2026, 11:30 am
ESA QLD members and friends are invited to an informal mid-morning coffee and conversation in the Brisbane CBD.
Queensland still seems to have more momentum than most states, but a big question is whether that is continuing or beginning to ease. Growth drivers like population, spending and investment remain strong, yet some signs suggest conditions may be starting to moderate. Join us for coffee and conversation as we explore whether Queensland can keep outperforming in a softer national economy.
This relaxed gathering is an opportunity to reconnect with fellow economists working across government, academia, consulting and industry, and to exchange perspectives on current economic issues affecting Queensland.
Committee member Craig Lawrence will open the discussion with a few brief observations before inviting a broader conversation.
